The boutique Hotel City Zürich is characterized by its timelessly modern and cozy design. Each of the 60 rooms has its own distinctive character, with variances in color and styling making it a design object in its own right.

In the Löweneck restaurant, with its industrial chic interior, guests can meet for lunch, refreshments, or a convivial evening meal. Here, cooking is a philosophy and culinary indulgence a way of life. The menu features delicious tapas, which already with the first bite transport guests to the narrow, winding streets of Barcelona.

Thanks to the excellent location of this boutique hotel, guests can get to the famous Bahnhofstrasse, the banking and financial center, and cultural institutions such as the Opera House, Schauspielhaus, and Kunsthaus in just a few minutes.

This sustainable city hotel always thinks out of the box

When it comes to sustainability, the Hotel City is one of Zurich’s most innovative hotels. All communications are handled paper-free and via the Guestfriend app; instead of a plastic key, arriving guests receive a code to open their room door via their mobile phone or SwissPass. Minibars are stocked exclusively with products originating from Zurich.

Guests can compensate for the CO2 emissions they cause via myclimate, and rooms are only cleaned when requested by guests so as to save cleaning products and energy. The hotel is equipped with an air-water-heat pump to maximise energy efficiency.

The food and beverage concept is based on seasonal cuisine. The origin and content of all products are clearly declared, and the nose-to-tail concept is implemented. No overseas wines are served, and no convenience products whatsoever are used.

Hotel City maintains partnerships with various organisations such as the Wabe3 urban apiary, McCormick (children’s handball) and SapoCycle. Regular donations are also given to support Schweizer Tafel, the hunger relief charity. And two e-bikes are available free of charge for guests who want to leave the hotel and explore the surrounding urban area.
