Hotel Alex Lake Zürich

The elegant hotel features 43 contemporary studios and penthouses, which are furnished in an apartment style and thus features all the necessary amenities and luxury for long-stay guests.

Located directly on the waterfront and just 20 minutes from the city center, the hotel offers urban lifestyle in tranquil surroundings. Its cosmopolitan style incorporates harmoniously colored, bespoke furniture with natural materials and textures. There is also a wellness area with sauna, steam bath, pool, relaxation rooms, and spa treatments.

At the heart of the hotel is a restaurant with a bar and waterfront terrace. As is the case throughout the hotel, here too the focus is on sustainability, with the restaurant serving seasonal and local cuisine with a mediterranean touch.

Alex Lake Zürich is temporarily closed due to renovation work.

The power of water is omnipresent

Located directly on the shore of Lake Zurich just a few minutes outside the city, the Hotel Alex Lake features an impressively ultramodern and youthful design combined with a sophisticated sustainability concept. The Alex Lake belongs to «The Living Circle», a hotel group whose partners collaborate to implement the farm-to-table concept. The group includes various agricultural enterprises producing their own foods which are supplied exclusively to the hotels. This ensures that guests at the Alex Lake can enjoy a variety of home-made farm products from all over Switzerland – including first-class wines and grappa from Ticino.

The hotel is operated in compliance with the Minergie standard, and water from Lake Zurich is used to cool and heat the premises. Each day’s food waste is processed in the biotransformation plant to generate green energy. As a partner of the myclimate initiative, the Alex Lake supports the «Clean Drinking Water for Schools and Households in Uganda» project, and guests also have the option of making a voluntary contribution to this cause.
