Looking for a present? The gift that's also a good deed!
Everything is sourced from the Lötschental region
Hydropower from the glacier, water from a private spring, ingredients from within 100 km – here, mountain culture meets responsibility.
SHORT SUPPLY CHAINS, STRONG VALUES
Almost all ingredients for the kitchen and cellar come from within 100 km – sourced directly from local Valais producers. Fresh spring water is tapped on site, and electricity is provided by the nearby Breithorn-Fafleralp hydropower plant. Renovations use local materials like timber, stone and traditional craftsmanship from the valley.
A TASTE OF REGIONAL IDENTITY
The in-house soap is made with Alpine herbs from the region. Products from the “Natürlich Lötschental” initiative appear on the menu and throughout the hotel – creating jobs and value in the valley. The kitchen follows a nose-to-tail approach for responsible and full use of each animal.
MORE THAN A HOTEL – PART OF THE VALLEY
Deeply rooted in Lötschental, Fafleralp helps preserve the local way of life. Guests become part of this living culture – where retreat, authenticity and responsibility merge at 1,800 metres.
