The Widder Hotel in Zurich's Old Town skilfully combines tradition with modernity and offers guests a sustainable stay. In the restaurants and bars, many of the hotel's own products are served "from-farm-to-table". The farms belonging to the hospitality group "The Living Circle" supply the hotels with first-class food on a daily basis. Numerous culinary creations are made with products from the hotels' own production, such as pasta, eggs and meat, as well as wine and spirits.
The Boucherie AuGust restaurant serves mainly Swiss products. True to the "nose-to-tail" philosophy, a wide variety of meat specialities are available. Local roots are a tradition at the Widder; the hotel is also home to the Widder Zunft, the guild that has united butchers in the city since the Middle Ages. The hotel has partnerships with myClimate, Swisstainable, SapoCycle, CleanHub and has been awarded the "Earthcheck" sustainability label.
