The hotel Schweizerhof ranks as one of Graubünden’s trailblazers on sustainability issues. «100% Switzerland» is the motto for every aspect of life throughout this hotel. For example: the products used here are exclusively Swiss, and they are obtained from regional suppliers wherever possible. They also include seasonal products. The Scalottas Terroir restaurant, renowned for fresh cuisine far beyond the borders of Graubünden canton, has been awarded 16 Guide Michelin points as well as a green star for sustainable cuisine. The restaurant farms its own mountain pasture and offers meat processed according to the nose-to-tail concept, so the entire animal is used insofar as possible.

Regular «sustainability weeks» provide training for employees of the Hotel Schweizerhof. Each year, the hotel takes on ten trainees who start out on their professional careers at the Schweizerhof. To emphasise the importance it attaches to long-term employee retention, the hotel offers an extensive development programme of basic and advanced training with regular instruction from external employee coaches as an additional feature.
